This site was prepared by Steve Raab to demonstrate how he has been integrating Google services for team collaboration.

This site is a demonstration of team collaboration using Google services including Sites, Calendar, Drive and Groups.  There are the 4 core services most teams require, and other services can be integrated as desired.  

This 'Demo' site was intentionally kept lean rather than overloading it with many examples. 

About The Activity

Demo is a fictitious activity and this site is the web presence for its collaboration tools.  The demo activity engages a broad general membership and it is managed by a smaller leadership team.

For ease of identification, all resources have been named 'Demo'.

Groups

Membership in this activity's groups are summarized here:

  • Demo Members - general membership team - open to all those participating in the activity.
  • Demo Managers - membership is open to the leadership team of the activity.

We recommend that you utilize a Google Account for you participation in this activity.  Your Google Account sign in, and its group permissions, is the key to unlock portions of this site that have restricted access.

To Join / Subscribe

Signing up is simple. There are two ways to subscribe:
 
  Subscribe using your Google Account
  1. Sign in to your Google account
  2. Click the group link, and complete the simple membership form:
  Subscribe using Email
  1. Send email to desired group:
  2. The group sends you a confirmation email.  You must respond to it to complete your join request.
  3. The group will send you a second email stating your request is pending.
A group manager reviews and processes your join request.
 
If you have any email spam filters be sure to adjust them so you receive our messages.

To Unsubscribe 

There are two ways to unsubscribe:
 
  Unsubscribe using your Google Account
  1. Sign in to your Google account
  2. Click the link for the group webpage:
  3. Click on the 'My settings' button
  4. Click the 'Leave Group' link near the bottom of the dialog box.
  5. In the confirmation dialog, select 'Leave Group'.
   Unsubscribe using Email
  1. Send email to desired group:
  2. The group sends you an 'unsubscribe request'  email. You must respond to it to complete the process.
  3. The group will send you a second email confirming your unsubscription.
